Choosing a Tribe

"The Social Thing Brief"

When I first encountered the social thing brief the first thing that came to mind was to pick a football tribe. Although the only reason I did this is I had an idea to use led lights to create an interaction layer during football matches. The LEDs would react to Twitter and beam out the colour of the team with the most tweets. However this was an easy way out and didn’t feel like i would be making something as I would only need to strap the LEDs to an arduino and some little nice red and the rest is history. (Feasible but not challenging enough and I learn nothing)

So I decided to do some primary research and see what kind of physical projects were being carried out in the world today. I was quite amused with some of the stuff I found on the CIID website.

As impressive as this projects are I am making a mistake by looking at projects first, I need to find a tribe that I care about , One with enough access for me to research on, for now I believe I have a creative block.
